Welcome To Snug Blankets  - Handmade in Arizona

Hi, my name is Dina.  I'm a mom, grandma, and a native of AZ, though I've also lived in Hawaii, Idaho, Utah and Southern California.  For years, I've had fun being creative and making crafts for family and friends.  After making some super soft homemade blankets for loved ones and with lots of love & encouragement from those very same folks, I've launched what you're reading about right now.  Snug Blankets.

 

So, why Snug Blankets and why now?  Quite simply, I never had the time!  As a busy mom of 4 kids, it was all about time (parents, you know what I'm talking about).  Now, I'm making the time!

I've worked for other people over the years (personal assistant, construction, charities), but when my last kid left for college, I decided it was time to do something that I really wanted to do.  And as I said, my family and friends loved my blankets and told me to "go for it."  And I LOVE what I am doing with Snug Blankets.  I'm having a ton of fun, and there are few things I enjoy more than hearing from customers who find joy in my designs and are pleasantly shocked by the soft fabrics in my throws.  

This is a lot of work, there's no question about that.  But it's fun and rewarding, and I like to work.  I don't outsource ANY of this work.  I buy the fabrics, I design each throw myself, and I sit down at my sewing machine and make every single throw blanket myself.  I manage social media posts, write for blogs, connect with customers...it's all me.  And I love it.

At the end of the day, I hope to have some money to be able to give back.  I'm particularly interested in cancer research and helping patients cope with cancer.  Cancer has deeply impacted my family, as I'm sure it has with almost all of us.  Several years ago with the help of our community in AZ, I helped my son on his Eagle Scout project.  He and his friends collected and made handmade blankets for patients at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Gilbert.  I had to choke back the tears as I watched these young boys deliver their simple fleece blankets to the nursing staff at MD Anderson.  And the staff became very emotional as well.  At the end of the day, it's all about L-O-V-E.  And I hope that one day soon, I'll be able to help spread love and compassion via Snug Blankets.

Take a look at my catalog.  And order one today.  A Snug throw blanket is a good pal to have on hand to read, watch TV, snuggle with a loved one, or catch a quick nap.  I even know a guy who travels with a Snug in his backpack for long flights.  If you see one that strikes your fancy, I would suggest that you order soon...occasionally a design sells out, and often the fabric is gone for good.  But I'll keep creating new designs and fabulous new blankets very regularly, and I'll do my best to keep the ones you folks like the most in-stock.  Bookmark this site and check our back often for updates.  I'm hard at work, I promise.
